The Zimbabwe Mail has received what is believed to be a ‘leaked’ Parliamentary Constitutional Affairs Select Committee (COPAC) draft constitution of Zimbabwe which COPAC says is work in progress.

Zanu PF supporters have rejected the draft and senior Zanu PF officials are calling for the three principal drafters to be fired.

From the look of things if work on the constitution progresses to referendum stage Zanu PF is most likely going to campaign for a no vote. COPAC indicates that the second national all stakeholders conference on the constitution will cost US$14 million which will be covered by government – while publicity of the draft up to the referendum is expected to cost US$2.9 million which donors have contributed. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LEAKED DRAFT CONSTITUTION
